Custom Design Your Project

Free Estimates

We will give you a free estimate of the cost of your custom controller.  To give you the most accurate estimate we need as much information as you can give.  This includes the number of enclosures you want, the function of each component, how they interact with each other, the inputs and outputs of the enclosures, how they are controlled by you (push buttons, dials, switches, keypads, etc.), how you want information displayed (LCD, LED, etc.).  The size and style of the enclosure(s) and as much technical information about your custom controller you can give.

Your free estimate will include: Parts, labor, software development, design and shipping.

The Process

  • You complete a Custom Design Form. A confidentiality agreement can be requested prior to submitting this form.
  • An engineer will contact you within 2 business days of receipt of your request. The engineer will discuss your ideas and needs for the device you are requesting.
  • A free estimate of cost will be e-mailed to you within 10 business days of final consultation with the project engineer.
  • A product contract will be completed and a 25% fee is paid
  • A project design will be created including software, hardware layout and enclosure sketches. This may include additional consultation with the project engineer.
  • Product assembly times may vary.
  • Product testing is done prior to completion.
  • Completed products are shipped to the customer.

Design Fees

Design fees are charged on an hourly basis after the initial free estimate has been provided and accepted. An estimate for design fees will be provided as part of the free estimate. These charges will be applied as we create the design for the intricate circuitry of your project. Upon completion and purchase of your product, all design fees will be deducted from your final bill.

Confidentiality

We will provide a document that will protect your invention.  This form will protect your confidential information or inventions revealed during discussions, proposals or negotiations.  We will also, upon final payment, give you ownership of all firmware and hardware layout pictures (PCB design). 

Ownership of the PCB and firmware are transferred to the customer upon final payment.  You may have us sign a confidentiality agreement contractually limiting our disclosure of information you supply to us.
